Welp I seperated Gwen and Titan, he was eating all the eggs, and being too ruff, and wasnt getting the embrace right, sooo I am just going to wait and try her with a new male :) pics coming soon!

Update on spawning and new tanks

Ok, so I believe a fungus or bacteria took over the fry (possibly was on the Indian almond leaf that I put in with mom and dad right before they spawned) and there was no survivors :(.  Practice makes perfect right? Welp its only been about a week BUT Gwen has already striped up again (I dont know how) and her and Titan are in the spawning tank again, hopefully they get to spawning soon, Titan already built the nest.  On another note, I got a ten gallon tank and a 20 or 30 gallon tank from a lady in North Vernon (im pretty sure its a 20 gallon).  Going to clean them up and get accessories for them.  The ten gallon already has a light hood, do not know if it works yet or not. The ten gallon also came with a stand, not a pretty one, so it will just go in the betta room, it will not be used somewhere else in the house.  I will probably display the 20 gallon in the dining room.  Hoping to make the 20 gallon a planted tank, with beautiful plants and moss.  If I get a picture or video of Gwen and Titan spawning again I will post later today or tomorrow.

Weve got a few wigglers, i hope he tends to them

We have wigglers

Its been about 34 hours since spawning started and we have a couple of wigglers, problem is they are falling to the bottom of the tank and he isnt even noticing, he just keeps make bubbles in random places.  Quite a few eggs at bottom of tank too, scares me a little, and makes me wonder if any of those will hatch or not.  Makes me wonder if he is even going to help once more and more hatch. OR just eat them :(  I really wish he would grab the eggs and wigglers at the bottom of the tank and help them back up, because ever few minutes even some eggs fall and he doesnt even seem to care to bring them back up.  fingers crossed everybody! The nest looks ALOT smaller, like 50% smaller, makes me wonder if he ate some eggs or if they were just bubbles not actual eggs. REALLY REALLY wish he would grab those eggs at the bottom!

Titan adding to the nest!

First spawn should happen today!!  Titan has been adding to the nest, and gwen has barred up and seems to be building up her courage to spawn. She periodically comes up to titan and dances up against him lol i think the first embrace should happen soon. Poor gwen looks horrible though!! Really tore up, but once she is done i will feed her some live worms and get her in some relief water. Soooo excited!

Im fed up!

Ok, sooo i have tried and tried and tried over and over again to get the wonderful parlo, and stunning gwen to spawn, and it just isnt gonna happen, they simply do not like eachh other, gwen is picky picky picky picky, maybe my new giant titan (HM plakat) will be handsome enough and dominant enough for her! And heres hoping he will build a bubble nest!
